Pushpa 2 Team Donates ₹2 Crore to Stampede Victim’s Family
On Wednesday, Allu Aravind announced that the Pushpa 2 team has donated ₹2 crore to support the family of the victim of the stampede. He shared, “To help the family and the boy after he is released from the hospital, we have arranged ₹2 crore. ₹1 crore has been donated by Allu Arjun, ₹50 lakh by Mythri Movie Makers, and ₹50 lakh by our director Sukumar. The amount has been handed over to Telangana FDC Chairman (Dil) Raju, as we were advised not to give it directly.”
The incident occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, where a stampede broke out, leading to the tragic death of a woman and the hospitalization of her young son, who was critically injured.
Allu Arjun faced legal consequences for his involvement in the event. On December 13, he was arrested in connection with the stampede but was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court the following day. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy claimed that Arjun was informed of the woman’s death while he was watching the film, but the actor stated that he only learned about it the next day.
